Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules for using Mailero. It supplements our Terms of Service and is designed to protect our users, our infrastructure, and the broader internet community.

2. Prohibited uses

You must not use Mailero to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk email. Mailero is for receiving and replying to support requests. It must not be used as a bulk email sending tool.
  • Send malware, phishing, or malicious content. Do not attach or link to viruses, ransomware, or deceptive content.
  • Impersonate others. Do not use the Service to send emails that misrepresent the sender's identity in a deceptive manner.
  • Violate applicable laws. Do not use the Service in any way that violates local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Process prohibited data. Do not use Mailero to knowingly collect or store highly sensitive personal data (e.g., health records, financial account numbers, government IDs) unless you have appropriate legal basis and safeguards.
  • Abuse the platform. Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or data. Do not probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without explicit permission.
  • Circumvent limits. Do not create multiple accounts to bypass plan limits or use automated tools to generate artificial tickets or load.

3. Email sending guidelines

When sending replies through Mailero:

  • Only reply to legitimate support conversations
  • Do not use the new ticket feature for cold outreach or marketing
  • Respect opt-out and unsubscribe requests
  • Ensure your email content complies with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other applicable regulations

4. Content standards

Content sent or stored through Mailero must not include:

  • Illegal content or content promoting illegal activity
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive material
  • Content that exploits minors

5. Resource usage

Use the Service responsibly:

  • Do not generate excessive API calls, webhook floods, or automated traffic that degrades service quality
  • Do not use the Service as a general-purpose file storage system
  • Respect attachment size limits (10 MB per file)

6. Enforcement

We may take the following actions if we determine that you have violated this AUP:

  • Issue a warning
  • Temporarily suspend your account
  • Permanently terminate your account
  • Remove or restrict content
  • Report the violation to relevant authorities if required by law

We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking action, unless the violation is severe or poses an immediate risk.

7. Reporting violations

If you become aware of any misuse of Mailero, please report it to support@mailero.com. We investigate all reports promptly.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
